Change DNS on Windows 7, 8, and 10

This article will guide you on how to configure your Windown 7, 8, and 10 computer/laptop to use google public DNS.

1. Open Control Panel and select Network and Sharing Centre. You can also right-click the network icon on the system tray at the bottom right corner of your screen.

2. Click Change adapter settings on the left pane.

3. Right click the Internet connection icon you want to change DNS then select Properties.

4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4) then click Properties.

5. Click Use the following DNS server addresses: then type 8.8.8.8 in Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 in Alternate DNS Server then click the OK button.
