You can create mailboxes for your domain (for example, [email protected]) yourself in cPanel.
1. Log in to cPanel
Use either of these:
- From the client area: log in at https://clients.cidhosting.net, open Services > your hosting plan, and use the Email Accounts shortcut (or Log in to cPanel).
- Directly: go to
https://yourdomain.com/cpaneland log in with your cPanel username and password.
2. Create the mailbox
- In cPanel, go to Email > Email Accounts.
- Click + Create.
- If you have more than one domain, choose the right one from Domain.
- Enter the Username — the part before the
@(for example,sales). - Under Security, either:
- - Set password now — choose a strong password (cPanel's Generate button helps), or
- - Provide alternate email — cPanel sends a link so the user can set their own password.
- Under Optional Settings, check Storage Space. You can set a limit for this mailbox or leave it to your plan's default. Mail stored in the mailbox counts toward your hosting account's disk space.
- Click + Create.
The new address works immediately in webmail.
3. Set it up on a computer or phone
On the Email Accounts page, click Connect Devices next to the new address. It shows the exact server settings. You can also use our guides:
- Outlook (secure IMAP settings)
- iPhone and iPad
- Android
- Webmail (Roundcube)
Good practice
- Use a different, strong password for each mailbox. Don't reuse your cPanel password.
- Give each person their own mailbox instead of sharing one login. For shared addresses like
info@, consider a forwarder to the people who need it. - When someone leaves, change the mailbox password or delete the account (see How to Delete an Email Account in cPanel). Deleting a mailbox removes its mail — download anything you need first.
