Webmail lets you read and send email from any web browser, without setting up an app. Our webmail uses Roundcube.
Open webmail
- In your browser, go to any of these (replace
yourdomain.comwith your domain):- -
https://yourdomain.com/webmail - -
https://webmail.yourdomain.com - -
https://yourdomain.com:2096
- -
- Enter your full email address and your email password, then click Log in.
- If you see a list of webmail apps, choose Roundcube. You can set it as the default so it opens straight away next time.
If you've forgotten your email password, you can't recover it from webmail. Ask the person who manages your hosting account to reset it in cPanel (see below).
Change your password in webmail
- Log in to webmail.
- Click your email address at the top right.
- Choose Password & Security.
- Enter your new password (twice, if asked) and click Save / Change Password.
Reset a mailbox password in cPanel (account owner)
- Log in to cPanel and go to Email > Email Accounts.
- Click Manage next to the address.
- Enter a new password under Security and click Update Email Settings.
After you change a password
Update the password on every device that uses this mailbox — Outlook, phones, tablets and any website forms or scanners that send email. Until you do, those devices will keep asking for the password or stop sending.
Choosing a good password
- Use a long password (a short phrase of several unrelated words works well).
- Don't reuse a password from another site or your cPanel login.
- Never share your password by email or in a ticket. Cid Hosting staff will not ask you for it.
Webmail won't open?
- Check the address for typos and that you're using
https://. - Try a private/incognito window to rule out a saved password or browser extension.
- If you get "login failed," confirm you're using the full email address and the email password, not your cPanel password.
