How to Download and Install Thunderbird

Download Mozilla Thunderbird — a free desktop email app that works well with Cid Hosting mailboxes.

Download

  1. Open thunderbird.net in your browser.
  2. Choose the installer for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
  3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen steps.

Once Thunderbird is installed, add your mailbox with IMAP. See Configuring Your Email Account on Thunderbird for Windows (the same IMAP settings work on Mac and Linux).
