Android phones come with different mail apps. Most use the Gmail app; Samsung phones also have Samsung Email. The settings are the same in both.
Your settings
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Account type | IMAP (recommended) |

| Outgoing server | mail.yourdomain.com — port 465, security SSL/TLS |

Gmail app
- Open Gmail, tap your profile picture (top right) > Add another account.
- Choose Other.
- Enter your email address and tap Manual setup.
- Choose Personal (IMAP).
- Enter your password and tap Next.
- Incoming server settings: username = your full email address, server =
mail.yourdomain.com. Tap Next. - Outgoing server settings: keep Require sign-in on, username = your full email address, server =
mail.yourdomain.com. Tap Next. - Choose how often to sync, give the account a name, and tap Next to finish.
If the app asks for port or security type, use the table above.
Samsung Email
- Open Samsung Email > menu (☰) > Settings (gear) > Add account > Other.
- Enter your email address and password, then tap Manual setup.
- Choose IMAP account.
- Fill in the incoming and outgoing servers, ports and security from the table above. Make sure Authentication required before sending emails is on.
- Tap Sign in.
Prefer POP3?
Choose POP3 instead of IMAP and use port 995 with SSL/TLS for incoming mail. Keep in mind POP3 downloads mail to one device, so your other devices won't stay in sync.
If it doesn't work
- Certificate or security warning: check the server name. Please don't choose "accept all certificates" — open a ticket instead so we can check things on our side.
- Authentication failed: use your full email address as the username, and your email password (not your cPanel password).
- Sending fails: check the outgoing port is 465 with SSL/TLS and sign-in is required.
