How to Create an Email Filter in cPanel

Email filters in cPanel sort or discard messages for one mailbox based on rules you define.

Create a filter

  1. Log in to cPanel from clients.cidhosting.net.
  2. Email → Email Filters.
  3. Choose Manage Filters for the mailbox.
  4. Click Create a New Filter.
  5. Name the filter, set conditions (From, Subject, and so on), choose an action (Deliver to folder, Discard, Redirect), and save.

Tip: Test with a mild rule first. Aggressive discard rules can drop real mail.
